Innocent Muganda was admitted as an advocate of Kenya in 2006 and spent the early part of his career practicing corporate law while working for a major bank in Kenya.
He is the managing partner of Sagana, Biriq & Co. Advocates. His experience covers Company and Commercial Law, banking & finance (conventional and shariah compliant), project finance and development draftingand advising on security documentation and perfection, real estate development and conveyancing and regulatory issues.
Innocent is actively involved in intellectual property law and acts for various local and international clients in registration of I.P, opposition and cancellation actions before the Registrar and deals with IP dispute resolutions.
Mr. Muganda also doubles up in the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution department and litigates civil and criminal matter in the Superior Courts. He recently represented the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, from the High Court to the Supreme Court, in successfully defending the highly contested election of the Governor, Garissacounty.
He also handles immigration matters including obtaining visas, special passes dependent passes, work permits and applications for citizenship and permanent residency.
