Amina Hashi holds an LLM in International Trade Law from University of Wales, United Kingdom and LLB (Hons) Degree from Moi University. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya (since 2008).
Her practice spans from experience in international trade, international payment systems, import & export transactions, international commercial agreements in banking, export & import industries, land and investments. Her practice primarily includes, company corporate and commercial work.
Aminaa��s forte is in land law, investments, benefit sharing policy and legislative drafting. That has seen to her appointment in various Government Task forces on policy and legislative reforms in land law in line with Kenyaa��s new constitution. She also represents various clients in exploration of natural resources and mineral.
She currently serves as a member of the task force set up by the National Land Commission to formulate the legislation on investigation and adjudication of complaints arising out of historical land injustices. She previously served as a professional member of a taskforce set up by the Minister (Cabinet Secretary) for Lands and drafted the Community Land Bill and the Evictions and Resettlement Bill.
Ms. Amina is also involved in litigation and dispute resolution in matters relating to her areas of practice.
